Members...
Mohon info penggunaan Genset sebagai backup listrik pln.. maklum listrik ditempatku sering mati.

apakah listrik dari genset cukup stabil untuk komputer? kalo kurang stabil, apakah lebih baik pake stavolt atau UPS?

setau gw sih genset/generator/diesel or whateverlah itu...ga cukup stabil buat kompie loh...malah bisa dibilang nggak disarankan ngidupin kompie pake benda2 tersebut...soalnya emang menurut yg gw tau benda2 tersebut menghasilkan listrik yg nggak stabil...CMIWW

Kebanyakan genset memang tidak stabil dan tidak disarankan utk PC, bukan cuma volt tapi frekuansi juga kurang stabil. tapi ada solusi nih :)

Info lain :
Honda’s Inverter Technology creates "clean" or stable power – making these generators ideal for sensitive electronic equipment. And since they are totally enclosed, they are incredibly quiet. All models are EPA and CARB compliant.

Computers and power-sensitive testing equipment require what is referred to as “clean power.” Clean power is electrical current that is consistent and has a stable “sine wave” or signal. If the lights or other basic appliances in your home were being powered by a generator and there was a fluctuation in the AC power, you’d probably see the lights dim and then return to full brightness—no problem! However, if your computer was being powered by a generator and the voltage fluctuated, chances are the computer would either shut down or at least interrupt the program you were working in.

In order to overcome this problem, Honda engineers developed a revolutionary form of inverter technology. This process takes the raw power produced by the generator, passes it through a special microprocessor that provides ultra-clean power that boasts a sine wave equal to or better than the current from your household AC wall outlet. This means that for the first time, you can operate a computer or other sensitive equipment from a remote location without the fear of interrupted service or damage to the equipment.

pengalaman gw di pedalaman Kalimantan dulu
pake genset PC gak awet sama sekali, 2-3 bulan pasti ganti PSU gara2 mbledos

TERGANTUNG genset apa dulu dong ommmmm
PLN di daerah terpencil itu juga PLTD Lohhhh Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Diesel alias Genset
cuman konsumen aja yg ga tau sumber listrik nya dari mana.

Kualitas Genset Sebagai Power Source:
1. Alternator ... nah ini jantungnya kl merek ecek2 ga bakalan bagus output listriknya
ini terdiri dari kumparan tembaga. so kualitas tembaga yg di pake.

2. AVR Alternator ... ini yg menentukan stabilnya tegangan listrik
jangan beli yg merek abal abal ambil merek jerman (ggogling banyak)
3. Mesin penggerak .... nah kalo tenaga mesin pas pasan frekuensi bakalan naek turun
kalo alternator 100 kVA mesin minimal 6 silinder baru josss

4. Governor .... nah ini otak nya yg bisa mengatur besar masuknya BBM Ke Mesin (kalo istilah bengkel namanya governor industri)
Kalo ini kualitasnya Jelek sih frekuensi ga bakalan 50 Hz bakalan mentul mentul
ini sama jangan yg abal2.

5. Saluran Transmisi ... ini tergantung dari kualitas kabel. semakin besar kabel semakin bagus (tapi mahal Bokkkkkk)

Genset yang bagus Buatan Jerman merek Perkins.

kalo elo make genset kapasitas 100 kVA elo muatin 100 PC pun ga bakalan rusak kok
itungan kasar: Power Supply 500W + monitor misal 17" 100 W = 750 W (ambil gede)
kaliin 100 = 75000 = 75 kW di konvert ke kVA sekitar 85 kVA jadi ini masih dibawah FullLoadnya Genset (asal elo pake yg gue saranin diatas)
Jangan beli Genset Abal Abal Buatan RRC kl terpaksa beli merek ini,maksimum Loadnya sekitar 60%

ya gpp. masuk online ups dulu, dalemnya umumnya ada PFC nya yg ngatur teganan en frekuensi supaya tetep 50 Hz en 220V (settingan frekuensi en tegangan tgt dr UPSnya kan setiap negara make frekuensinya beda2) cth di amrik pake 60Hz 240V
